1 year old Melanie has no idea why she’s ended up in a cage at Brooklyn ACC. Her overall condition and social personality lets everyone know that at some point, Melanie was somebody’s dog. Sadly, much as Melanie might wishit, that someone has not come to get her. She’s got some scrapes and puffy eyes (maybe allergies?) and earned a coveted Green rating during her medical for her good graces and sweetness. She’s now run out of time at ACC and they’ve put her on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. At only 1 year old, Melanie has a wonderful long life ahead of her. She’s just beyond that doggy baby stage and is the perfect age to start learning those grown up doggie things. She wants to explore the world, smell all the bushes and trees, play ball with someone, sleep cuddled up in her own bed, get belly rubs and of course, give a gazillion doggie kisses! Can you see yourself and your home with Melanie in it? Can you see her growing up with your family? She’s a gorgeous girl, healthy, sweet—she’s just about perfect! If you can see it all, step up to foster or adopt her.
