10. Rich people are excellent receivers, poor people are poor receivers When rich people get rewarded, they truly appreciate the accomplishment because they believe they have earned it. For instance, if someone with a rich person mentality received an A+, they would make statements such as, “Oh wow, all the hard work that I put into this course truly paid off.” On the other hand, if a person with the poor person’s mindset received an A+, their thinking would go something like, “Well that class was really easy.” Same grade, two very different reactions. One party received with open arms, whereas the other party shunned the accomplishment. If you want to get rich, you have to learn how to receive. The bottom line is when you accomplish something, cherish your accomplishments. Don’t diminish your value; instead use your accomplishments to increase your value.
