11 December, Thursday 😠U.S mkt : U.S stocks ended sharply lower on wednesday as energy stocks fell on plunging oil price after global oil cartel OPEC said it expects oil demand will drop by 0.5mil barrels a day next yr. European mkt : European mkt ended mixed with Dax closed slightly higher and FTSE100 closed slightly lower. Germanys stocks recovered from tuesdays selloff caused by political concerns in Greece and new restriction on Chinas debt mkt while U.K stocks turns lower as energy stocks stung by slide in oil prices. Gold : Gold prices held steady on wednesday after dollar rally cooled due to profit taking amid safe haven demand for the yen. Crude oil : Crude oil prices plunged on wednesday after data showed that U.S stockspiles increased unexpectedly last week while OPEC decision to trim its demand forecast exacerbated the losses. KLCI : Mkt surged nearly 28pts yesterday with blue chips closed higher on fund buying of telcos, plantations and selected oil and gas counters for window dressing.
