14 things about me that you may not know about me. (why not, others are doing it!) 1. I still have my baby blanket and all my Cabbage Patch Dolls. 2. When I was little, I was convinced monsters were going to climb out of my walls to eat me. (Unless I had a light on and the doors closed). I still can’t sleep with my door open. 3. Although I don’t mind the occasional phone call or conversation with family and friends, I hate talking on the phone. 4. I get frequent (and by frequent, I mean several times a week) episodes of brain fog where I ‘flake out’ and forget what’s going on. 5. I’m afraid that the above mentioned fibrofog have stunted me intellectually and socially and hurt my chances at ever being a teacher they happen most often when I’m highly stressed and I’ve had them in job interviews. 6. Fibrofog is slowly taking away my enjoyment of reading. 7. Despite the pain and problems, I would have still joined the Army had I known my future. 8. Though I never did anything stupid or illegal I regret a lot about my high school years, I regret a lot about those days. 9. I hate the person I’ve become. And I hate my past self for letting me become this person. 10. I wish I’d stayed in girl scouts until the end of High School. It was the one thing I liked about myself as a kid. 11. Despite the crap I went through at work, my favorite place to live, ever, was Darmstadt Germany. 12. I am brilliant. I know this; the people who are closest to me seem to know this. But I think I’ve undergone a lifetime of feeling under appreciated for my brilliance and that is a large contributing factor to my depression. 13. I think I might be dyslexic, or have some other form of a learning disability, specifically when it comes to numbers. I mix up numbers when I’m performing mathematical problems (which caused me a lot of grief in school) and my brain shuts off when I hear “science” stuff or anything with complex mathematical numbers. I still do my multiplication with my fingers. I think this was not caught when I was a child because I am so bright and because of my love of books. 14. Because of #13, I spend an INSANE amount of energy when working on anything involving complex math skills, including counting out change and money. I still get answers wrong.
