140829 Super Junior Promises Hot Event to “Release Story Version MV” Super Junior made a special promise to fans. Super Junior held a press conference to announce their comeback with 7th album at Imperial Palace Hotel in Nonhyundong, Seoul on August 28th. They talked about plans regarding album promotions and what they feel about making a comeback. At the press con, a leader of the group Lee Teuk, who has recently discharged from military service, made an appearance along with tens of media press from both South Korea and around the world. The press con kicked off by showing the new music video for ‘MAMACITA’. It captivated viewers’ ears and eyes by showing ridiculous yet strong performances in western cowboy concepts. In the music video, Kyuhyun is a gambler who steals treasures with joining hands with villains, Dong Hae is a hunter, Siwon is a sheriff, Eun Hyuk is a bull fighter, Shin Dong is a blacksmith, Hee Chul is a bartender, Lee Teuk is a mean fugitive, and Ryeowook is, as he said ‘not very important in the plot’, barber. Lee Teuk stated “As the music video combines our performance and acting, many fans were unsure of the exact story line of the video. If we get good scores in music programs and on YouTube, we will reveal a drama version of MV” and shared their plan to pay back the love as an event. Super Junior’s 7th album title track ‘MAMACITA’ is an urban new jack swing with an Indian percussion base and a piano line reminding of a DJ remix. The song includes lyrics about asking people to show sympathy on various social issues and griefs. The group will show a comeback stage through KBS 2 on August 29th and release their album on September 1. Super Junior not only achieved all-kills on music charts and but also received three times in 2009, 2011, and 2013 and swept the end of the year music awards in 2011 and 2012.
