A door was opened occurs 4 times in Revelation which is symbolic of opening heaven to us. Rev Perry Stone has an interesting sermon on the 4 openings to heaven. This is one of them and the door represents opportunity. How many raptures occur? Some people like to limit God to one rapture, perhaps not believing that God can do as many raptures as He wants to do. What is a rapture or harpazo (Greek LXX) or rapturo (Latin Vulgate) or caught up? Most people would include Enoch as being raptured. Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Many people reference the rapture of the prophet Elijah in 2 Kings, chapters 1 and 2. Elijah was told by God he was being raptured and then a delay. Elijah did a mission for God and then he was asked to board a fiery chariot. His servant Elisha asked to take his place and Elijah told him if he saw Elijah being raptured, his wish would be granted. Elisha did see him leave in a fiery chariot and was given Elijahs mantle with a double anointing. We have an interesting verse in Jude about Archangel Michael and Lucifer fighting over Moses bones. The two witnesses in Revelation would probably fit the definition. Rev 11:3 I will give my two witnesses who wear sackcloth the authority to prophesy for 1,260 days. Rev 11:4 These witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing in the presence of the Lord of the earth. Rev 11:5 And if anyone should want to hurt them, fire comes out of their mouths and burns up their enemies. If anyone wants to hurt them, he must be killed in this manner. [ISV] These 2 witnesses are raptured after being killed and lying in the streets for 3 1/2 days. This ends the first 3 1/2 years of Daniels 70th week as they are killed when the anti-Christ declares himself god.
