16. Philippians 3:20-21 Citizens of Everything as it Should Be. I was born in the Netherlands. My parents immigrated to Canada when I was 6. I knew two English words when I went to school, OK, and Shut Up. Neither got me to the bathroom. Our family of 11 lived in a three room uninsulated wooden shack without running water or a bathroom. I can remember standing outside a restaurant wondering what it would be like to be rich enough to go in. That must be somewhat what it will be like to miss heaven. Here is what Paul says, But theres far more to life for us. Were citizens of high heaven! Were waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. Hell make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him. Lord, everything as it should be? Hard to even contemplate. Dont let this throw you. You trust God, dont you? Trust me. There is plenty of room for you in my Fathers home. If that werent so, would I have told you that Im on my way to get a room ready for you? And if Im on my way to get your room ready, Ill come back and get you so you can live where I live. John 14:1-4
