1Kings 18:16 This is a story that i will forever hold dear in my heart,Elijah a man called by God came to a point that he had to confront the prophets of Baal, he had given his life into serving God, and he declared,At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. 37Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.” wow God did surely not put him to shame, but wait not long after this that Jezebel was after Elijah, despite that strong power and evidence, still Elijah was not left a lone, he faced alot of threats to a point he said He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” 5Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” 6He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. 7The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, “Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.” 8So he got up and ate and drank. LESSON: have you ever come across those painful moments in your life when after even giving yourself to the Lord, the enemy is after you to the point you fill like giving up like Elijah, painful as it maybe, still trust in this God, when we cannot hold it together, He comes through for us
