2 1/2 years ago we all remember the tornado that went west to east across Clarke county changing the landscape for ever. I remember the day well. Watching it go by our house almost a mile away but still able to see the roof tops and debris whirling what seemed a mile high. You could hear the churning and the sky was dark gray all around the funnel. We watched it pass by and then reality sat in about who, what, when, where- our friends!!!! What about our friends?. Calling wasnt an option. Lines were jammed! The only thing I knew to do was power saw upand go to them!!! The roads were impassable in so many places. People in their debris filled yards cryn and wondering what in the world could be any worse? We were on a mission to get to the Rolison/Keith/Dennis families about 6 miles away. After Cutn holes just big enough to get our truck through it took over 2 hours to arrive at their houses!!! In the mist of so much turmoil and sorrow for the loss of houses, we were soo proud to see their mud splattered faces!!! This morning as I came back from taking the kids to school I passed by a high place on county rd 514 where the tornado crossed. Its a path about 1/2 mile wide. You can see for a couple of miles! This morning the fog was settled in the low spots and thick low clouds were lifting as the rays of sun were passing through them.... What an AWSOME scene! I thought to myself as I slowed down to take it all in. GOD IS SO GOOD! I said to myself. Then out of nowhere the scripture from-revelation came to mind -Behold, I make all things new (21:5). What was such a painful place to be and even look at has now become,2 1/2 years later, one of my favorite places to marvel at GODs Hand!!! In not gonna cry you a river about our lives being shattered. Everybody is an arms reach away from something that will change the landscape of your heart forever- just know this.... HE Can make all things NEW! And make them so pretty that people will stop to marvel at it one day! GOD shows out like that if you let HIM!!! #cantwait4thatday!!!
