2 LED Lamp at 10 Rs/- Though I love this initiative by our beloved Prime Minister there is a bigger problem I see Each Led light of 7W cost 450 Rs/- in open market and Our government is able to give the same @ 5 Rupees Subsidised? I dont think government would be buying LEDs at 450 rupees and giving it us at 5 Rupees, which will simply burden the exchequer. As Common Man I feel CFL which do not have high Reliability/Quality ( Personal Exp) is already costly and LEDs are 400% more expensive. Are companies exploiting at the cost of natural resources ? Looks likely. If only regulatory authorities get more responsible and keep a tight control over products which have greater impact in terms of offloading burden on Natural resources and making it economically viable, such exploitation is never going to END. Arguing that eventually prices will come down is something, which I am not ready to BUY, because even after 4~6 years of CFL launch it is still out of reach for many common man, which constitute 90% of Bharatha Varsha By the time it is done and becomes affordable, the harm on both economy and natural resources are irreversible.
