Judge McMahon, bless her heart, didnt think she had the authority to order the government to release a memo pertaining to extrajudicial killings. So the 2nd circuit did it: legal analysis is not an intelligence source of method. Keep this in your pocket: the law, as it is used, especially to justify the worst, isnt meant to be classified. The law is and should be accessible to all. And when it comes to suspected wrongdoing, judges not only have the authority, but they MUST use it.
