2014 Business of the Year Nominations Begin! Every year the Bowie Chamber of Commerce recognizes the accomplishments of both small and large businesses and the impact they make on the Bowie,Texas business community. To be eligible for an award, businesses must have a strong presence in Bowie,Texas, possess sound business strategies and practices, and show leadership and community contributions among other elements. Categories for the 2014 Business of the Year include: • Business of the Year – Large-More than 25 employees • Business of the Year - Small-Fewer than 25 employees • Non-Profit Organization Award: Any non-profit organization in the Bowie area, including civic, athletic, etc. • Young Entrepreneur of the Year: Owner will not reach his or her 35th birthday by January 1, 2015, three-year evidence of success in sales and profits, increased jobs, innovative products, demonstrated potential. The 2014 Business of the Year Criteria for nomination: In the year of 2014, this business…Showed their superior commitment to exceptional standards. Is a Chamber of Commerce member in good standing. Actively participates in and supports chamber activities. Maintains professional appearance and standards of excellence, demonstrated a commitment to the community, and encourages a “Shop in Bowie” mentality. All nominations are strictly confidential. The nomination should include an explanation of why you feel this business should be considered for this award.
