Issued At: 5:00 a.m., 03 August 2013 Valid Beginning: 5:00 a.m. today until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow 24-hr Mean Sea Level Pressure Predicted Mean Sea Level Pressure Analysis for 8 a.m., 03 August 2013 24-hr Mean Sea Level Streamline Predicted Mean Sea Level Wind Analysis for 8 a.m., 03 August 2013 Satellite Image Satellite Image for 4:32 a.m., 03 August 2013 Synopsis: At 4:00 am today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 700 km East of General Santos city (5.8°N, 132.0°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Mindanao. Forecast: The regions of Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao, Northern Mindanao and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Zamboanga Peninsula, ARMM, Western and Central Visayas and Bicol region will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to southeast will prevail over the western section of Luzon and the coastal waters along this area will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the northeast to southeast will prevail over the rest of Luzon and from the northeast to northwest over Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate seas.
