*********** 25-26 January, 2015 ************* After months of hard work, jumping over unique City-created hurdles made just for us, and leaping over those only to have new ones created -- we are ready to make things happen. The Womens Museum of California [womensmuseumca.org/ ] is our official Community Sponsor. Their faith in our objectives, a common history of struggling through some government- created obstacles, and generous and creative minds have made this possible. We are honored to have the Womens Museum as our Community Sponsor in all of our Centennial plans for Balboa Park. We now have all we need to reserve venues and dates in the Park for 2015 and beginning for 2016. We will have a concert series of Period and complementary music and fun in the Organ Pavilion venue on multiple Saturdays. A day of music, dance, period costumers and history in the Plaza de Panama and more. Perhaps a Park-wide event in the Fall. And our first gathering of friends on April 11, 2015. The reservation of venues and obtaining of Permits requires that City fees be paid in full in advance. Fees can exceed $1,000 for each venue. We need YOUR help NOW so we can fix certain dates and obtain additional business and foundation support.
