25 Random Things About Jim Jackson I posted this list in - TopicsExpress

25 Random Things About Jim Jackson I posted this list in January, 2009. Hard to believe, but this list is virtually the same. I just updated a few words (example: Alex was not born). I would love to see your list! 1. I love my wife and children more than they know. 2. I love Jesus – but he already knows. 3. My favorite job was working three summers at a YMCA Christian Camp called Camp Ocoee. I taught rock climbing and ran the high ropes course. Thank you Latta for hiring me. 4. I was a founding member of the UTC Rock Climbing Club, even though as a child I was deathly afraid of heights. 5. While visiting Denmark, I had the opportunity to live on a sailboat for 3 weeks. 6. I prefer to stay in Bed and Breakfasts over hotels. Best way to meet locals and get to know an area. 7. I love to garden and work in the yard. Nothing like the smell of freshly cut grass. 8. The first baby I ever held was my daughter. 9. I love caffeine and drink a coke almost every day. In fact, my first word was not mama or dada, but COKE. I am also addicted to coffee and fix two cups every morning to wake up. 10. I would rather park miles away and walk than ever pay for parking. 11. Between my wife and me we have never had a cavity. 12. I would love to hike the entire Appalachian Trail, raft the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, and visit Milford Sound in New Zealand. 13. My father-in-law was the CEO/President of Callaway Gardens. Susan and I were married in the Callaway Chapel and had our reception at the Sibley Center. Callaway is one of the most beautiful places on earth. 14. I am very cold natured, but love to be barefoot. I wear sweatshirts year round- even in the summer. 15. I have had food poisoning twice. The second time I was in the hospital for two days. Be careful where you choose to eat Pizza. 16. I hate being in the quiet. If I am alone, I must have the radio or television on, even if I am not listening. 17. I was told when I was young that I would never be very tall and my parents should look into growth hormones (I am 6 ft tall). After 4 years of trying to get pregnant, we were told that we would probably never have children of our own and we should look into adoption. We have had 4 children naturally: Addie (9), Ben (8), Susannah (would be 4 and is in Heaven), and Alex (almost 2). We were told by a doctor that our daughter would probably never speak and we should look into artificial voice generation (not only does my daughter now speak, but you can’t get her to stop). My suggestion is don’t always believe what people say- even experts – instead pray, pray, pray, because prayers are answered! 18. I love my yellow lab (Sunny is 14) and don’t understand how anyone doesn’t like dogs. I grew up with no relatives that owned dogs, but my parents owned five cats and two black swans. Swans are mean and make terrible pets. 19. I once owned a 1974 Mercury Comet. I had to get rid of it when it was run over by an 18 wheeler (yes – I was in the car at the time and came out with no injuries). 20. I love to play cards and work jigsaw puzzles. Canasta is my favorite card game. 21. I attended both of my parent’s colleges (GA Tech and GA State). I have an undergraduate degree from UTC in Economics with minors in Spanish and International Studies. My MBA is from GA State with a double concentration in Marketing and E-Commerce. With all of this education I have a pretty good idea of how this country works. I do not like Obama’s policies and Obama Care is NOT good for our family. 22. I love Georgia Tech Basketball and UGA Football. Susan’s dad played college football at Vanderbilt and her brother played football at Georgia. Ben is big, so I am hoping he can follow in those footsteps! 23. My favorite beer is Guinness. I have been to the factory in Dublin, Ireland. 24. Thanks to my children, I am a big fan of Jo Jo’s Circus and Good Luck Charlie. 25. I know how to juggle
