2574 Followers The tournament in Miami has brought some interesting changes. Funny enough the most important ones relate to 2 players that didn’t perform that well in Florida: Federer and Fognini Federer Roger lost a quirky match against Nishikori to crash out in the quarters. Even if the Maestro was hoping for more in Miami, this result combined with a poor performance of David Ferrer allowed him to reach the 4th rank. That is a very important achievement as it means he won’t clash against Novak or Rafa before the semis in any tournament. Fognini Fabio crashed out in a ignominious way against Rafael Nadal in the 4th round, but a collapsing Tommy Haas (he didn’t play in Miami) gave 1 position to the Italian that is ranked world no.13 (career high). Dimitrov Grigor didn’t really shine in Miami as well to los in the 3rd around against Nishikori. But once again Haas (and Youzhny) going down in the rankings gave him the opportunity to be ranked no.15 (career high). Raonic Milos managed to get back again in the top 10 after reaching the quarters in Miami. Now world no.10 Isner John lost to Berdych in the 4th round, but that helped him to get back against in the top 10 now world no.9. Ferrer David is sinking down slowly but surely. The Spaniard lost 2 places to be ranked world no.6 Murray More misery for Andy that also loses 2 places to be ranked world no.8. If he won’t achieve good results from now till Wimbledon he Scott may well crash out the top10! The Biggest Winner Benjiamin Becker has reached a surprising 4th round in Miami to gain 25 places... now world no.68. The Biggest Loser Janko Tipsarevic is still trying to recover from his foot injury to lose 21 places and being ranked world no.90
