2Co 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; ***WHAT AN AMAZING STATEMENT.....Paul said our light affliction........because He proclaimed the gospel of grace, He was whipped with 39 lashes on (5) separate occasions........beaten with rods (3) times........he was stoned and left for dead. He suffered shipwreck, hunger, thirst, nakedness, and betrayal by his closest friends. Yet he had an unbelievable desire and could not be stopped from his mission. What drove Him relentlessly? How could he count the pain he suffered to be almost nothing? ANSWER: He saw the eternal consequences. He saw the eternal glory that was revealed in the 2 previous scriptures......... Verse 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. WOW --- What a vision of the saved multitudes praising God! A Praise Party that will Rock the Universe!!! He had a sure vision of the resurrection and the saints in the presence of God. These were people that would be there because of his steadfastness and the glorious gospel that was being proclaimed. My prayer for you today is that you would get a vision of the things that are eternal and stop looking at the temporary things of this life. See the harvest .......it is ripe and the LORD needs people to labor in it and win souls for His Kingdom. You are called to make an eternal difference! God Bless
