2nd Round of Bilateral Strategic Dialogue between Pakistan and the Russian Federation (2014-10-21) The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Morgulov Igor Vladimirovich called on Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs, Syed Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and Mr. Aizaz A. Chaudhry, Foreign Secretary today in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They discussed bilateral, regional and global issues of mutual interest. The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister is visiting Pakistan to hold 2nd Round of Bilateral Strategic Dialogue with Pakistan. The Dialogue held with Mr. Nadeem Riyaz, Additional Secretary (Europe) focused on a review of political, economic, parliamentary and cultural relations. Possibilities were also explored for enhancing cooperation in various sectors including energy. The parleys provided an excellent opportunity for a comprehensive exchange on the entire range of bilateral issues as well as on the regional situation. Both sides shared their resolve to undertake concrete steps to enhance their cooperation, especially in the economic sphere to strengthen the existing cordial relations. It was also agreed that the next round of Strategic Dialogue will be held in Moscow at mutually convenient date. Islamabad 21st October 2014
