3 years ago today, my profoundly Deaf son Brennen (at 18 months of age) heard sound for the first time. Here is the video. Understand that we did not implant him with the intention of making him hearing. No. We wanted to give him the opportunity to experience sound. Nothing more, nothing less. We love our Deaf son - whether he speaks or not. He is beautiful to us just the way he is as God makes no mistakes and His Glory is shining bright through Brennen.
