DAS9 - Dharamshala The three 9th class children had a great time in their day out yesterday. Today they have gone to do tera tera. Today the 11th class students are out for their day out in which they will also be rappling near water, making fire, cooking their own food, and be back to camp by 4:30-5pm. Yesterday was a birthday night so there was a cake ceremony followed by music and dance which the kids thoroughly enjoyed! There is another birthday today, which will also be celebrated tonight followed by the much awaited Talent Night! Weather has been clear since yesterday with slight clouds. All the kids are well. DAG6 -- Tirthan Kids continued to have fun into another day at camp. Letting go of their fear and jumping into the cold water of the Tirthan river was the high point for most kids. The 2 groups that returned from their night out at the camp this morning raved about the music session at camp last night. Today two groups are out on a stream walk, one group is river crossing and cliff jumping, the fourth group is on a morraine walk while the fifth is preparing for their night out where they will be using the skills of fire making, cooking food and tent pitching which they have learnt. Weather continues to play friend & kids are soaking in all the sun in between the cool dips in the river. All children are doing well. SHG -Tirthan After arriving yesterday afternoon, the children wasted no time in settling into their tents after lunch. Later they hiked out to the waterfalls and returned to enjoy camp fun before dinner. Today they have left for a stream walk in the morning after breakfast. They will also be learning survival skills like fire making, cooking food, pitching tents which they will use in todays night out. The weather has been sunny and bright, allowing the kids to enjoy their dips in the water. SVP8 - Sitlakhet Weather is cool and pleasant. The children are doing fine. Today all the groups are on a day out where they will be putting into practice all that they have learnt - fire making, cooking their own food and pitching tents. One of the groups will also complete their left over activity of rock climbing and tera tera. They will return to camp by 3-4pm today. The kids are excited for their talent night today evening in which all the groups will perform. DAK9 - Shimla The kids are out on rappeling and a small hike. They will also be doing low ropes course in the afternoon. Yesterday the children had a great time at the stream walk and river crossing and though it was tiring with almost 4 hours of walking, the kids were full of energy when they returned. The weather has been bright and sunny with a temperature of around 22 degrees celsius. The kids are very happy and feeling sad to leave camp tomorrow! DAPF6 - Junga Its a bright and sunny morning at camp today. All the girls are doing well. Two groups are on TT (Tyrolean Traverse) and they will be out on the Low ropes course and High ropes course this afternoon after lunch. The other group has been out on High ropes course this morning and they will be on tera tera this afternoon. The girls are looking forward to their talent night which they will have after dinner tonight. BTJ - Yercaud The weather is cool and pleasant. The children are all doing well. Kids did their closing ceremonies this morning with appreciation, feedback & certificate distribution. They will leave campus at 1pm post Lunch & head back home. Warmly Team Youreka
