31 October 2017 marks 500 years from the day Martin Luther nailed his theses at the Castle in Wittenburg, protesting against a heinous and callous religion the Catholic Church was not only propagating the world over, but murdering millions of dissenters. His rebellious act gave birth to a new name, PROTESTANT, 12 years later, and culminated in Lutheranism, Methodism, Calvinism etc. These were belief systems against Romes sale of indulgences, stories of purgatory and the teaching that the Pope is Christs Vicar and the visible God on earth (Lord forgive me for saying these blasphemous words). Popes are on record for saying Rome does not change, but Protestatism has lost its God- given identity in still carrying very marks of Rome, which close and continual Bible study would have resulted in greater reformation need than that identified by Luther, Calvin, Wesley etc. A few years ago (1999) the Lutheran Church even had a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Vatican, were the dead cognisant I would say Luther turned in his grave! What a betrayal to a man who was tossed from council to another by a system that shuns a Bible-based religion, nor let others have it. While many professed Protestants are entangled in worldly engagements of entertainment and man-reverring Pentecostalism, frantic efforts are being made to wipe out Protestatism. The case of Tony Palmer would not ring a bell to Christians who can tell the DOBs of all players who play for a team who call themselves RED DEVILS! This is a man who has been roping in close to a billion Christians into signing a pact with Vatican to the acceptance that PROTESTATISM IS OVER at the commemoration of 500 years of Protestatism in 2017. God would not have such thing, and this man was involved in an accident a couple of months back, and as we speak is lying in a cemetery awaiting Christs return where he shall answer for his claims. I could write on and on, but suffice it to say, PROTESTATISM IS ALIVE! TILL KINGDOM COME, EVEN!!!!! As a firm believer in this, and as Paul says, not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing., I urge all likewise-minded, to work in the same spirit as we march towards 2017 and beyond.
