3rd Day of Thankfulness 1. I am thankful for Allen McKendree Palmer. God used him to get my family and I back in church years ago and now we are all born again Christians as a result. Thank God for divine connections. I will be eternally grateful. Rabbit trail-You dont get to heaven by your good works. We would all be in trouble if that were so. Just because you go to church doesnt give you a get out of hell free card. Getting baptized doesnt guarantee it either. It is only by a willful decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life and accept Him as your Savior. That is why this meeting to me was so special. I had went to church all my life and then we stopped going for awhile because I didnt see the point in it. I figured people were punching their card every week so they would feel better about themselves and then just live like hell the rest of the week. When you have a relationship with the living God, church takes on new meaning. 2. For my dad. There is not enough space to even describe him fully. I am proud to be his daughter. He just loved everybody and made them feel special. That is the way I want to live my life. 3. For my mom. There is not enough space to describe her fully either. Mom celebrated us as children. We had lavish birthday parties and she made us feel like we could do anything. She still is like that. My mom was my first friend. She was there for me when no one else was there.
