4 yrs ago I received some devastating news...We are shutting down and laying off my first thought was oh Jesus, what am I going to do, I got these boys to take care of, I just purchased a Yukon, what am I going to do? I gave all my worries to the Lord, it was too much for me to handle. On July 26, 2010 that dreaded day came, I was one of the very last to leave the company, I walked out that day got into my truck and said a quick prayer..Lord I dont know what you have in store for me, but I trust you Lord, Guide me Lord, Let your will be done. In August I enrolled back into Chattanooga State to finish some unfinished business,many said most people at my age never finish college, I took the negative talk and allowed it to motivate me even more, I cant say it was easy, it was a struggle taking care of my babies, driving back and forth to chattanooga 5 days a week, cooking, cleaning, supporting both my sons football seasons,many days I had to take my school books and study at the practice field, many nights I went without sleep, helping my boys with their homework and then do my homework, study for exams, but through it all the Lord made a way for me, a year later after being laid off, my Yukon was paid in full, my boys taken care of, bills were paid, all through the grace of God!! Now I reap the reward of all the sleepless nights, struggles, and sacrifices I had to make to get what I set out for!! A few weeks ago I received notice that I will be recognized at Chattanooga State July 22, 2014 for the National Technical Honors Society for my academic excellence (maintaining an A average in all my courses, on August 9, 2014 I will graduate at the Memorial Auditorium with honors, with my associates in Allied Health along with my Medical Assistant Diploma..All the glory go to my heavenly father who already had a plan for me on July 26, 2010!! God is so good to me I cant thank him enough!!
