She elaborate further said, UNITY will be better than DIVISION. It doesnt mean that UNITY will resolve every problem, but it does ensure that we can work on more viable solutions together, solving our problem and facing challenges together. UNITY will be better than a constant them-and-us battle over ancient squabbles. UNITY will be better than the experience weve endured here for the last four decades. UNITY, in time, will allow parties to form genuine political coalitions and move away from the tribal, divisive politics of the past. We, the people of Basilan, must be a strong voice at the center of this process- committed to creating and supporting policies which are good for all of us rather than policies which promote the interest of some, not all. We, the people of Basilan, must help to make OUR HOME a better place for all of us. UNITY must now stand on the ground that all of our forefathers staked out in the past. We believe that the people of Basilan are ready to take up this challenge and make UNITY work. State of the Province Report of Governor Jum J. Akbar As we forge ahead, four decades after the founding of our province, allow us to report to you, our dear Basilenos, the achievements of your Provincial Government over the past year. On Human Resources Developmen and Management: We have continued to upgrade the technical skills of our employees, and with help of our friends at the Philippine National Bank, we approved the construction of a new offsite ATM within the Capitol complex. Rubber and Coconut Industry need also for expansion for the whole province of Basillan. Cocao investors are also interested to identify land area potential for planting Cocoa.
