5 road projects under execution in Tral Constituency under NABARD: Wani SRINAGAR AUGUST 28: As many as 5 road projects including Kachajkote-Tral, Tral-Panner, Charsoo-Amlar, Dobiwan- Khalil with Kanglaroo-Ovrigund-Gamrajlink and Wagad-Amlar are under execution in Tral Constituency under NABARD. This information was given by Minister for Roads & Buildings Mr. Abdul Majid Wani, while replying to a Calling Attention Notice of Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Shah in the Legislative Assembly today. The Minister informed that Tral-Nagbal road having a length of 7 kms stands upgraded up to BT status under NABARD RIDF IX. He said with the passage of time some stretches of this road have got deteriorated and during last year, 6 kms of the said road were provided a renewal coat of BT in patches, adding that rest 1 km of the road would be black topped under Projectization programme during current fiscal. Regarding Khankah- Midoora road, Mr. Wani informed that the road is a part of 17 kms Khankah-Batagund-Pastona road. He said 3.5 kms of the said road has been black topped during 2013-14, adding that 1 km of the said road would be black topped under projectization programme during current financial year. The Minister further informed that the road having a length of 12 kms was upgraded to BT status under NABARD RIDE IX. However with the passage of time some stretches of the road have got deteriorated. During 2012-13 a renewal coat was laid in one km of Tral Shikargah sector and metalling grade 2nd was laid in Pinglish Ratsona sector for an aggregate length of 2.50 kms. During 2013-14 the Buchoo Simoh sector having a length of 2 kms and Tral-Shikargah sector having a road length 4 kms stand completely restored by way of metalling in stretches / patches. Funds amounting to Rs. 12.70 lakhs and Rs. 9.50 lakhs stand incurred during 2012-13 and 2013-14 respectively for maintenance of the said road. He further informed that DPR for upgradation / strengthening of Buchoo Saimoh Shikargah Tral road which also includes Tral Pinglish Shikargah road have been prepared for an amount of Rs. 5.05 crore. The project shall be taken in hand only after availability of assured funding. However, normal maintenance is being carried out as per requirement under maintenance grants. Besides this the DPR for widening / upgradation of Awantipora Tral road via Nowdal has been prepared at an amount of Rs. 9.54 crore and prioritized for sponsoring under NABARD funding during the current financial year, the Minister informed.
