5 years ago (5th MARCH 2009) today a very special thing happened for me. I got to meet greet and HUG my idol the guy who I have looked up to since childhood the KINF OF POP himself MR MICHAEL JACKSON. Many do not know this story so for those of you who are interested i will let you in on it today... I was on my 2nd UK arena tour (within 10 month period) this time with the X-FACTOR finalists in particular JLS whom we shared a stage with .... and the next stop of the tour 5th MARCH 2009 was 02 arena LONDON......coincidently this was also the date when MICHAEL JACKSON was going to announce his COMEBACK (SOLD OUT) THIS IS IT Tour (I call this Destiny working overtime...as the announcement of MJ being there on this date was only revealed few days earlier but our tour schedule was planned months in advance). We were running late from our previous tour city so im sitting in the tour bus with everyone ready to burst into tears knowing that i was going to miss MJ because of LONDON TRAFFIC....however MJ too was experiencing this traffic so was also running late (again destiny working for me)... As soon as we arrived at the arena instead of going straight into our dressing rooms..i got my backstage pass and ran like a headless chicken to the area where MJ would arrive...I couldn’t believe it i made it before MJ and had access all areas.....YIKES!!!!... I saw Dermot O leary backstage asked if MJ is here ..he said “not yet mate” i thought “YES” il get the best view....seeing so many of the MJ fans at the front behind the barriers many of my friends and familiar faces i went up to them to say hello many telling me they had been sleeping for over 12 hours out in the cold to get a good a front view.....This is just a press conference NOT EVEN THE CONCERT ..how dedicated us MJ FANS ARE...!!!! Then suddenly security told me to move to the side or go backstage as i was blocking some TV cameras and MJs arrival was imminent.... So I waited ....and then MJ arrived in all his glory the fans went berserk behind the barriers and i was screaming like crazy....I thought MJ looked good - the excitement he generated was indescribable but the magic moment for me was when MJ left .... I ran backstage with my backstage pass to see if i could just say hello to Michael.....but what happened next was BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE..... MJ went through a wrong curtain turning and quite literary walked into me....I mean almost bumping into me...everyone was waiting for him at another exist but i think his security gave him wrong directions...It was exactly around 6.40pm the most surreal moment i have ever experienced... i pretended to be very cordial and business like (knowing i was representing the X- FACTOR tour ) so i went to shake his hand and addressed him as MR JACKSON....HOWEVER ...as soon as he responded i went into FAN MODE ...and instantly starting becoming emotional..... I said something along the following lines “Thankyou for coming to London and choosing us to perform for” he replied “I love London..I love you”...I then started saying things like what he means to us fans and how happy we all are to have him here...etc I then told him “Im actually going to be doing a tribute to you later tonight at the 02 arena as part of the X factor show”...This is where he looked at me slightly differently and when i told him i was from Britain’s Got talent “the broom sweeping audition...he said “i remember that”...HOW ARE YOU.....I love that...I like what you do where’s the guy with the beard - referring to MADHU....” OMG OMG OMG...I couldn’t believe he knew who I was...HOLY MOLY...!!!!!!!...... From childhood dreams dancing to MJ music videos on VHS..to the O2 ARENA MEETING HIM and doing s tribute to him....DESTINY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!......... After explaining the act and the tour i could see his security getting restless with me and wanting me to move on ....I quickly asked for a HUG which he allowed ....thats when i started crying..(Embarrassing) ..but MJ was kind enough to keep saying I LOVE YOU MORE, I LOVE YOU MORE””...Even writing about his now is making me emotional again....HE WAS SO KIND WIH HIS TIME..actually very humble ...he didnt have to say those nice things to me but he did....This is what made him diffirent even with all his success and fame he had time for his fans...(no matter how much the security at the time was asking me to hurry along) He turned and left...seeming strong for the moment he had on stage with his fans...(despite what certain ppl have said in the media he looked good and healthy) ... It WAS THE MOST MAGICAL MOST AMAZING MOMENT OF MY LIFE....no other act from the X -FACTOR TOUR (apart from Eoughan Quigg who was beside me during this event) got to met him....I WAS THE LUCKY ONE...THE CHOSEN ONE..... IV ALWAYS BELIEVED IN DIVINE INTERVENTION etc and I believe that all my years of being a fan was repaid by GOD by giving me this one on one moment with MJ ... Needless to say when i got into my MJ BILLE JEAN OUTFIT for the nights performance at the 02 i had extra motivation to kick ass on stage....I went out there and all around were images of MJ with the THIS IS IT NEON sign flashing......WOW ...HOW LUCKY AM I??? I SEE MJ I GET HIS APPROVAL THEN I PERFORM MJ TO A SOLD OUT ARENA CONCERT AT THE VERY PLACE MJ IS TO PERFORM LATER THAT SUMMER......I am soooooooooo grateful for that moment .... I cant believe its actually been 5 years since this day....I thank GOD for that moment esp since MJ passed away soon after...IF I COULD HAVE ONE DAY OVER AND OVER AGAIN ..it would be 5th MARCH 2009 THE DAY SULEMAN MIRZA MET HIS KING OF POP..- MICHAEL JACKSON ....RIP MJ ...WE MISS AND L.O.V.E you...always* #michaeljackson #thisisit #thisisittour #MJ #anniversary
