7 things to keep you in the know at Canton First: 1) Gods adventure into new territory requires a determination to remember what God has done while moving forward. Will you take up a stone and tell a child what God has done so you can experience EL Sali? Did you miss the Sunday message? It will be available at cfnaz by this Wednesday. 2) Wow! Yesterday, your worship was truly witness…you sang, prayed and even responded to a new way of communion with true spirit, passion and devotion! Thank you for letting your worship be used by God to encourage and challenge me! 3) Praise God! Two 55+ folks stepped up to lead the way to join the CFNAZ children’s church rotation! In addition, Mila Stough is going to share the need for 8 more in this age group to get involved in face to face connection with the children of our church family at the next Keenagers gathering in order to help us raise up the next generation for Christ! Praise God for the way this group is leading the way! (By the way, the next Keenagers (age 55 +) luncheon is Feb. 11 at noon in the Fireside café for only $3). 4) Please pray for our Guatemala mission team and bring in the following items BY THIS SUNDAY for them to give away to children during the VBS they will be hosting: Small toys for boys and girls, small rubber ducks, bouncing balls, stress ball, stickers, small stuffed animals, coloring books, candy, crayons and bubble gum. Let’s fill a suitcase to share God’s love! 5) Pastor of Discipleship with Teen Ministry Emphasis meet and greet and interview scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 4:30-6 PM in the fireside café. Parents, teens and anyone else interested are invited to meet the candidate and his wife for an informal meet and greet from 4:30-5:15. Then at 5:15 the candidate will answer questions that parents submitted to Victoria Palvantos ([email protected]) by February 16. At 6 PM, the NYI Leadership Team and Church Board will then conduct an interview. 6) This month we are collecting No. 2 Pencils, Glue sticks and 24 count crayons to show God’s love to Belle Stone Elementary. 7) Help our 20-30 something’s (PB&J group) connect with families who live across the street from CFNAZ. They will be knocking on doors and passing out Valentine candy and greetings as a way of reaching out to show that we at CFNAZ care about our neighbors. You can get involved by donating candy for the group to deliver (drop it off at the Welcome Table) or by volunteering to join the group as they walk across the street.
