A DEBATE that I may regret getting into, but I AM GENUINELY curious, so here it goes: Let me preface by saying, I have MANY family and friends that are military, and this is in no way a slight against their service. I may disagree with orders but I DO support and honor the service men and women who have stepped up to that plate. With that said, heres what I am struggling with... Calling their service fighting for freedom. I frankly dont get it. Im not a historian, but in my mind the first war of Independence was THEE freedom fight. The last war that could fall under that banner would have to the Civil War for me. I have a hard time saying Vietnam, Gulf War or even our current operations are a fight to secure our freedoms. I AM open to a change in opinion. I wouldnt open this box if I was close minded on the issue.
