A Devotional for such a time as this: - from: Stanley, C. F. (2004). God’s way day by day (p. 33). Nashville, TN: Thomas Nelson Publishers. _____________________ SIN AND TEMPTATION Follow His steps: “Who committed no sin.…” 1 PETER 2:21–22 Is temptation a sin? No. It is not a sin to be tempted. Jesus was tempted and the Bible clearly states that He lived His life without sin or deceit (1 Pet. 2:22). Sin occurs when we yield to temptation. It is at the point where we give in to a temptation that we sin. A thought popping into your mind is not a sin. Jesus had to think about what the devil said to Him in the wilderness; He had to deal with the tempting thoughts that the devil prompted. The thought of sin is not at all the same as an act of sin. It is when we act on tempting thoughts in a way that crosses the boundaries of God’s commands that we enter into sin. - via Logos 5 #devotionalforsuchatimeasthis #christjesus #vineofchristministries #theword #studyscripture #god #biblestudy #bible #jesus #faith
