A Letter To Dear Adi Son On His First Birthday Dear Adi Son, One year ago today your father and I received a precious gift, one that has made our family rich and whole. We just couldn’t wait to meet you when I was in my ninth month. If I’m being completely honest, I was getting a little impatient… okay maybe more than just a little. Your daddy wanted you to arrive on the 27th Oct’13, and on 26th Oct’13 when I was in pains he was praying that may this date becomes 27th and u come… and at 4am u arrived.. And my doctor said, “ Santosh, Congratulations.. It’s a baby Boy… And my emotions flowed though my eyes and your father looked at me with eyes full of tears. Your first foot prints that we received from the hospital.. You were 3.1kgs.. Your Dadi mumaa, Dadu Papa and Chachu were very Excited.. Your Dadu Papa and Chachu were at home and came running to see you in the hospital.. Can’t even explain, how happy & excited there were to see and take you in their hands.. You inherited your father’s gentle eyes that provide a window to your pure soul and his features that remind his childhood pictures. We named you Advik which means UNIQUE as you posses that unique quality in you which attracts all of us towards you all the time even if we are not around. The past year has been one of the best years of our lives. We’ve watched you grow and develop your own little personality. Your belly laughs make everyone giggle and your action which were kept on changing all the time. Your Namaste and Jai to Dadi Muma & Bhagwan Ji every morning…. “Chiya.. Aaja..” Doggie.. Bau.. Bau”.. “Cow.. Banana..” and all of that will always be a fresh thing in our minds.. If there was an award for the ‘Best Hugger’, you would win hands-down. We hope you never lose the ability to show affection so boundlessly. Your innocence and the love that you show everyone in this family is a blessing that we will never take for granted. Your wonder and awe of everything around you never ceases to amaze me. You see everything for what it is as a whole without any other thought. You are so completely present in every situation and because of that you are able to appreciate the little things so fully. You are continuously teaching me something new and wonderful. Every day when We wake up and see your beautiful face we are inspired to become better parents and a better people. Today know that your life has made such a profound difference in our lives. You make the world a better place just by being here. We can only imagine what amazing things you will do and accomplish in the future, because at just one-year-old you are living life to the fullest. Advik, we love you to the moon and back and then to infinity and beyond! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADI! WE LOVE YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY, ALWAYS AND FOREVER.
