A Lonesome Thing (for my nukes. you know who you are) the seagull cry, a lonesome thing has bound me to the waves once I was a sailor out upon the sea not of the romantic type whom women love to see I worked deep in the engine rooms with turbines grinding roar sleep was an imagined thing heat beat up from the floor my hands, my feet, my fission beast my universe complete I made my carrier soar sometimes I dream I lost my soul fed to my fission beast the roaring griding hissing steam fed on my hopes, my dreams but oh my carrier soared the ocean is a lonesome thing the hours long and hard sweat and steam my only friends my calloused blisters sting those above, dream of the air but I dream only steam the stench of oil soaks in deep it seeps into my soul the thrashing thrum and engine churn that brings my ship alive I bought my fission beast at cost and made my carrier soar the engine room a lonesome place the throbbing thundering roar hissing steam and thrashing seas forged from my fission dreams once I was a sailor and I made my carrier soar that man I was is long since gone stretched thin by steams deaf roar the portion of my heart I kept on seagull wings does soar
