A MESSAGE TO YOUNG FATHERS AND YOUNG FATHERS-TO-BE If you are a young man who wasnt fortunate enough to have grown up with a FATHER or had a father figure present to guide you, to lead you, to protect you and to set a positive example for you, then I am truly sorry for you and I sympathize with your having to contend with such an overwhelming and tremendous void! Im sorry that you did not have a FATHER to see you sit up for the first time, to hear you utter your first words or to help you manage your first steps! Im sorry that you did not have a FATHER to pick you up when youd fall or to wipe away your tears, brush you off and encourage you to continue on! Im sorry your FATHER was not there to smile, in admiration, when youd flex your tiny little muscles to show him how strong you were! Im sorry if you ever had to utter those words my DADDY can beat your DADDY and knowing in your broken little heart that you had no DADDY around, at all! Im sorry that there was no FATHER there to show you support, to place his hand on your shoulder, while discussing with your teacher, how to solve any problems you might be having in your academic pursuits! Im sorry that if you played sports and you had no FATHER to motivate you or encourage you to maximize your efforts, to cheer you on to excellence and to victory! Im sorry if you had no FATHER to teach you how to approach, properly address, relate and treat females by the example hed set while interacting with your mom! Im sorry if you had no FATHER to teach you the responsibilities of manhood, man-walk, man-talk, man-behaviors and man-thoughts! Im very, very sorry for you but thats just about it! You see, I dont support the contention that this is an excuse or a reason for you to be absent in your own childs life!! NO!!!! ITS NOT!!!! I dont know of the circumstances that didnt permit your FATHER to be in your life!!! I dont know if there is a need for an excuse, for forgiveness or where to place fault or blame!!! I JUST DONT KNOW!! WHAT I DO KNOW IS THAT THERE IS NO EXCUSE, WHATSOEVER, FOR YOU TO REPEAT THE SAME VICIOUS CYCLE!!! NAW!!! IT AINT NO EXCUSE FOR THAT!!! NONE!!! YOUR CLUES ON HOW TO BE AN EXCELLENT FATHER WAS YOUR OWN PAIN AND SUFFERING!!!! You know better than anyone of all that pain, all that hurt, all the suffering, the sorrow, the unanswered wishes and the loneliness thats only unique to BOYS having to grow up without a FATHER!!! YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT IT!!! WHO KNOWS THAT PAIN BETTER THAN YOU???? WHO? IF YOU ARE A YOUNG FATHER, YOU HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE RIGHT ALL THOSE WRONGS THAT YOU SUFFERED!!! BEING A FATHER IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE ALL THE LOVE, JOYS AND HAPPINESS THAT YOU MISSED OUT ON, THROUGH THE LIFE OF YOUR OWN CHILD!! STAND UP, BE A REAL FATHER AND GIVE YOUR CHILD BETTER THAN WHAT YOU GOT!! GOD FORBID THAT YOU ARE SO SELFISH AND BECOME ANOTHER YOUNG BROTHER WHO HASNT THE MENTAL STABILITY TO LOVE HIS OWN SEED AND TO LOVE HIS OWN SEED ENOUGH TO NOT NEGLECT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BECOMING A REAL FATHER AND A REAL MAN!!! IN MY EYES BEING A REAL FATHER IS AS REAL AS A MAN CAN GET!!!
