A NEW MODEL OF BUSINESS, BASED ON LOYALTY AND MUTUAL INTERESTS There is little doubt that the traditional buyer-seller model has changed a lot during the last decades. More aware, more informed customers are less likely to be tricked and have dozens of options on their hands to quickly switch from one choice to another. The new model is built on loyalty and proximity of interests. Just as we choose our friends and spend time with them in activities we both enjoy, todays customers choose to support companies who share their interests and values. Back in 2009, a PRS survey provided statistical evidence to this already obvious construct: 77% of consumers would like to see them spend the same or more on their favorite sports while 84% would like to see more spending on favorite causes or non-profits*. Five years on, this simple fact is more true than ever.
