A NEW YORK MINUTE: The other morning as I was crossing 8th Ave. on 42nd who should cross my path but Sofia Coppola, I noticed her and then another young woman next to me saw her and looked astonished, I said, Yep, that was her to which she replied, But why is she walking in Times Square? I said Why not? I started to go to Starbucks but it was too crowded and as I continued on to the subway I realized Sofia was walking in front of me, it was funny, no one else in the oncoming pedestrian traffic recognized her. I dont tell you this for any particular reason other than it was an interesting moment during an otherwise standard commute. Oh, that same day, on my way home, I passed a guy, I kid you not, in a full on Batman costume, a really good one - now that was interesting.
