A Natchitoches police officer accused of kidnapping a man in - TopicsExpress

A Natchitoches police officer accused of kidnapping a man in Sabine Parish is in custody in DeSoto following an early morning standoff in south DeSoto Parish. The armed officer threatened to harm himself but surrendered after negotiations with other law enforcement officers on the scene. His vehicle was pursued on Interstate 49 from Natchitoches Parish. Authorities in several parishes had being looking for the vehicle for several hours before it was stopped on Highway 177. The kidnapping victim had not been located by 4 a.m. The suspect told authorities he left the man in the woods. The officer is being questioned to determine the exact location.
