A PRESS STATEMENT RELEASED BY THE UPPER EAST REGIONAL YOUTH WING OF THE NEW PATRIOTIC PARTY. VENUE: REGIONAL NPP OFFICE- BOLGATANGA DATE: 09/09/2014 Members of the media, invited guests ladies and gentlemen. Good morning to you all. Ladies and gentlemen, we have invited you this morning to address you on some few issues concerning the just ended special delegates conference and other related matters. First of all, we want to congratulate the entire delegates, more especially the Upper East Regional delegates, for agreeing to speak the voice of the grass root by massively endorsing Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. We equally wish to thank all other aspirants for their participation which has made our party more democratic. We say thank you to all of them for conducting them selves well throughout the process. Members of the media, the youth wing will equally want to thank the affable, dynamic and hard working chairman of the Upper East Region and his entire executives for the support they have given us so far. Mr. Adam Mahama, our beloved regional chairman may God bless you. At this juncture, we wish to state that, all the constituency youth organizers and their deputies as well as the regional youth organizer and his deputy have unanimously declared their support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo come October 18th 2014. Ladies and gentlemen, there is no doubt that Nana Addo is not only the most popular, but also the one we believe will lead the NPP to victory come 2016. Invited guests, since our main goal as a party is to win power, we will appeal to all the delegates to massively vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. As a youth wing we want to state that we equally believe that all the other aspirants are fine gentlemen, capable of leading the party one day to victory, but now is the time for the man globally known as a peaceful man. In this regard, we will go all out to every single delegate and appeal to them to listen to the cry of Ghanaians and vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to lead the NPP to victory come 2016. Members of the inky fraternity, we equally want to use this opportunity to appeal to Arthur Kennedy to put a stop to his continuous, abusive and unwarranted statements he makes about Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He has every right as a member of the party to express his opinion on party issues, but that should be done devoid of hate speech, insults, and unsubstantiated allegations. We hope he will take this first step of appeal in good faith, other wise we will advice our selves. Once again we thank you for coming and may God bless all of you.
