A Song for Friday Night! And heres one of our all-time favorites! Boz Scaggs Miss Sun peaked at #14 on Billboards Top 40 charts after a late December 1980 debut. The lovely lady vocal is done by Canadian musician Lisa Dal Bello, and the song was co-written with Scaggs by David Paich, who wrote most of Totos big hits and songs for others, including Scaggs Lido Shuffle and Lowdown. Miss Sun was on Scaggs 1980 album, Hits, and was the only previously unreleased track from the LP. Lyric: Been thinkin bout you all night Guess you got me in your spell But I think that Ill be alright Even if I dont get well Hey, Miss Sun What could I say I tried to hold you But the moon got in the way It wont be long before the morning Has you back in my arms I can still remember What you told me with your eyes One kiss Now its down to this Guess its time you realize Hey, Miss Sun What could I say I tried to hold you But the moon got in the way It wont be long before the morning Has you back in my arms Has you back in my arms [Instrumental Interlude] Hey, Miss Sun What could I say I tried to hold you But the moon got in the way It wont be long before the morning Has you back in my arms In my arms Hey, Miss Sun What could I say I tried to hold you But the moon got in my way It wont be long before the morning Has you back (in my arms) [Instrumental Interlude] (One kiss is what I need) (One kiss give it to me) (It wont be long until the mornin) (It wont be long until the mornin has you) (Wont be long until the mornin) (Has you back in my arms) (One kiss) (I realize) (One kiss I can see it in your eyes) (Oh, it wont be long before the mornin) (Has you back in my arms)
