A Taste of Culture At The Hispanic Heritage Festival SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — A food tasting attracted many to the Forest Park Branch Library on Saturday, who hosted the area’s annual Hispanic Heritage Food Festival. It featured a variety of food and specialties from Puerto Rico, Mexico and El Salvador. The food tasting event is a special part of the larger Hispanic Heritage Month. “There are people from all walks of life that have come here and they’re all learning something about food that they may not have ever tasted,” said Roland Duprey, a Reference Librarian at the Forest Park Branch Library. All the food was provided by local businesses in Springfield. Salsa’s Salvadoran Restaurant, Estelita’s Taqueria, The Food Zone Restaurant and The Puerto Rican Bakery all donated to the tasting.
