† A Worthless Trade † Then the LORD God said to the woman, What is this that you have done? The woman said, The serpent deceived me, and I ate. Genesis 3:13 ESV Adam and Eve were living in the garden of eden. A literal paradise on earth where it never rained except for a mist that covered the ground. The serpent tempted them with something they did not have, the forbidden fruit. Life would be so good if you just had this. In the end they traded away heaven on earth for it. It was a worthless trade. They traded heaven on earth for failure, disappointment, and shame. They lost everything and eventually died where they would have lived forever. They already had every good thing but they felt God was holding something back they needed. Do not fall for the enemies worthless trade. Do not trade your integrity for a short term reward. In the end you will feel ashamed to have fallen for it just like Adam and Eve.
