A beautiful clear, clear day.. Woke up to a HARD frost, mostly near the river, this morning when I took a walk before breakfast of really good sourdoughs and moose sausage. With another internet message and prayer time.... The sourdough rested all summer in the fridge but perked right up overnight.... So.. when it warmed up, I picked all the potatoes.. Reds were huge, and the Yukon gold did well also but the russets are Ok and will be good baked.. The ground is fairly dry so I will not need to dry them out too long in the cabin before putting them in the root cellar.. Jarred three cased of frozen half dried king salmon. but have to wait until the fish/jars warm up to pressure cook them. Wood stovev heat started this morning again..... And Roger is HAPPY!! The grader tire arrived by boat with David and Jonathan Broline last night an was put on today... and using the old one I have another flower planter tire.... Jonathan works on heavy equipment for the camp. Fed a house full last night with the crew that, working hard all day, installed the two garage doors. John and Leon went home last night with their moose and mine is hung down under the covered rack.. Small but should be tender.. It had a wolf bite on the back of its hind leg with one testicle also bit off.. Poor thing.. Roger trimmed the head for soup and I really want to pickle the nose this winter.. Two moose hearts in the freezer and they will be good also... Did my paperwork right away.. And I know my 308 is sighted in good.. Roger is out looking around across the river again..
