A bit of a mixed day weather wise; some sun, some rain and some wind. I guess it is autumn now and we did have a wonderful summer and September. I guess we are soon to see the real Wales! Yesterday was a day for painting walls and ceilings. The ceiling in the boot room is papered with a deep pattern and like the big kitchen and the lounge it was very dirty - we presume because of smoke from the fireplaces where the chimneys needed sweeping. Deep patterns need deep painting ...means arm ache for those if us not used to holding our arms above our heads.......and like other jobs seems take longer than expected at the outset. Mind you it doesnt help when a playful pup wants to play pull your trouser legs or football. She seems to have a innate skill and an ability to both tackle and dribble .....sometimes with two balls...which is more than can be said for Grimsby Town at the moment...consistently inconsistent! Sue continues to make an excellent job of unpacking our removal boxes. We have a number left in what will be our dining room......and we expect our new furniture to arrive within the next week to 10 days...and it would be good to have somewhere to put it! Sadly she also received news yesterday that one of her old bosses had passed away.
