A boil water order is in effect immediately for the village of Plymouth in Jefferson County Nebraska. From now until at least Tuesday of next week, September 16th, 2014, people who live there should boil their water before drinking it. Officials tell us while work was being done to replace a water main, something went wrong and pressure was lost, resulting in the boil order. For the next several days they have to collect samples and test it, to make sure its safe. For now, until further notice, you should boil your drinking water for one to two minutes and allow to cool before drinking. To be clear, you can take a shower or use the bathtub, just dont consume the water.
