A candidate that is largely unknown and unfunded has defeated the political Eggon gladiators;senator Solomon Ewuga and Hon Labaran maku,because the latters indulged in tribal politics.An infinites simal fraction of the population . Thats the depth,delicacies,complexities and nuancies of parochial politics.The winner Yusuf Agabi never campaign vigorously in the primary like his contemporaries,but delegates in their own wisdom voted him because he was more moderate on civil rights than his contemporaries,yet nonetheless acceptable to all-so a coalition of North,South,East and west fell in his candidacy . Because he was the voice of reasonable,civilised and elevated Nasites.we need a politician and diplomat,noted for his intellectual demeanour,eloquent public speaking,and promotion of liberal causes in democracy. The political gravity has shifted and that a significant segment of PDP votes wont suffer gladly a return to the timid,pro-corporate policies of Johnnathan which maku and Ewuga represent. Nasarawa state consists of indigenes from all backgrounds and both parties. We are committed to honest,competent,decentralised and accountable govt.We believe that more unites than divides Nasites.
