A couple of friends and I were informed from a reliable source, that a Long Long Time Ago Mr. Abhijit Chakraborty as well as Mr. Bimal Shankar Nanda, had both tried to crack the Jadavpur University entrance test, and... *drumroll* Failed. Just saying. While the festivities are like a moral obligation for most to compel themselves into merry-making, and a consolation for some as an interim for them to finally rest, its important to note that the movement has not fizzled out as most would assume. The next couple of days will act as the much needed respite since it has been a long war since the wee hours of 17th September. We, the students of Jadavpur University, are still just as determined on having Abhijit Chakraborty resign as the Vice Chancellor and in the consequence of there not being any stone left that was not left unturned, well find cracks on the earth to break through. Needless to say that his rhinocerous-skin-defense-mechanism shall be countered at every point. The greatest achievement of this movement is that despite every possible tactic laid down by the state to crush the spirit of the student movement, each and every student, irrespective of ideological differences, has played their part in maintaining it as one without colour. Human intentions is a funny subject altogether, but the movement at large has held its moral ground very strong and will continue to do so. Dont do it because you hate people, do it just to spit in their eye. Dont do it for the money, do it and be damned to the money. Dont do it for equality, do it because weve got too much equality and it would be fun to upset the apple-cart and see which way the apples would go a-rolling. Dont do it for the working classes. Do it so that we can all of us be little aristocracies on our own and kick our heels like jolly escaped asses. Dont do it, anyhow, for international Labour. Labour is the one thing a man has had too much of. Lets abolish labour, lets have done with labouring! Work can be fun, and men can enjoy it; then its not labour. Lets have it so! Lets make a revolution for fun! Remember, Remember, whatever happened this September. :) Kolorob toh hoye gechhe. Andolon onek baaki.
