A couple thoughts on the Stadium Series game last night: 1. The atmosphere was amazing. Packed stadium with nothing but jerseys and screaming fans. Good-natured ribbing in sections from both sides during the game. 2. Im not a Dodgers fan, but Vin Scully is the man. 3. The outdoor game looks and feels a million times better at night. 4. The in-arena experience was too Kings focused (Cartman, a lot of the normal Kings songs, etc). I realize it was technically a Kings home game, but it was an opportunity to cater to both sides, which is never possible at any other time, and they didnt do that. Would have rather seen Ducks goal song for Ducks goals, etc. Oh well, at least we never had to hear that awful train horn. 5. KISS was actually kinda cool to see even though Ive never cared a lick about them and they are way before my time. 6. The beach volleyball thing was kinda lame, but I could live with it. But the fake actors hired to skate and walk around on the field, and the group of fake yoga women on the grass was awful. It was like a non-Californian trying to sell the California experience. Oh, wait, thats because it was a non-California company hired to recreate the California experience. Too much of a sideshow. 7. Loved seeing a few SJ Sharks jerseys in the crowd. 8. Kerri Walsh saying on Foxs pregame show that she wanted both teams to lose because she is a Sharks fan was the moment of the night.
