A fellow Scorpio, Gene Tierney also suffered from bipolar disorder (or something similar) and later wrote about her experience with mental illness and treatment in her fascinating autobiography Self Portrait. At one point she mentioned being treated by the same psychiatrist who saw Vivien, and that he was no great help to her.
