A few months back, I was the victim of identify theft. I knew I have been extremely careful with my social security number, (making no credit card purchases on the computer, etc. etc.) and yet the credit bureau that I tracked the transaction through with claimed the culprit had to have had my social security number to get the $2000.00 computer charged to my credit. I got it straight after LOTS of work on my part. Today I got a letter from Georgia College saying private information including my social security number had been released accidentally. Thank God I knew what to do to get it straight. No wonder people are concerned about giving all this information to the Obamcare webb site. It is a nightmare to straighten out identify theft.
