A few of the items that I am loving to use, to prep foods for use in my Vitamix. For those of us who dont object to using plastic, these little clear plastic cups with lids are super convenient for freezing and or storing small portions of things. The knife came in a two pack at Costco. Not too expensive, but nice for prep work, cutting melons, etc. They are NSF approved, sharpened evenly on both sides so they cut straight, and have dimples on the sides (like good cheese knives do), so slices of foods dont adhere to the side of the knife (much). And Im loving my new cutting board, from Walmart. The collapsible colender is so nice for gathering the scraps as you trim fruits and veggies, and you can remove it to empty it, and wash easily. Also, you can leave it out, with the hole open over the sink, if you want scraps to just fall to the disposal. Or shove your cut up food down the hole into a bowl or pan. Too easy! Its also great for washing and draining your produce. Convenient, and Easy are two of my favorite words! ...What are YOUR favorite prep gadgets?
