A friend of mine- a woman who grew up in the same neighborhood as my family posted a comment on her FB page recently. Her teenage sons were traveling to a music festival. These young men hands-down are the most polite respectful children I have ever met. They would be staying with family friends in the distance city and it would be their first big foray into world on their own. I remember when my daughters took those big steps and the parental worry that comes along with letting go, but I never had to worry about my children encountering a "Travon Martin incident" as she does.
