A friend sent me this version of the famous song of the Italien labour movement, Avanti Populo, Bandierra Rossa. In the video you see a flag of the "Sozialistische Jugend Die Falken" which is the youth organisation of the German Social Democratic Party. That brought back memories. Back in 1971 I attended a summer camp of the group in Denmark, and afterwards I spent a few days with a friend in Copenhagen. These days turned my life upside down. First we saw a concert of Marlene Dietrich at the Tivoli which was an unique and unforgettable experience. And then, a few days after we went for a visit to the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, were I saw paintings of Andy Warhol for the first time. This initial encounter with some masterpieces of pop art really gave me a kick that changed my life. Entering the room with that paintings ("10 times Marilyn" and "10 times flowers") I immediately was overwhelmed and totally confused. It was the moment when I recognised that I wanted to be an artist. Is it possible that there is such kind of "tipping point" that chages life once and forever? youtu.be/1L0bXF2QjGc
